Currently I'm working on an interesting project with researchers from the University of Lancaster. The project called Ringmind (the brainchild of Sociologist Bronislaw Szerszynski) is an art-science collaboration between visual and sonic artists and academics from astrophysics, computer science, humanities and social sciences. It will take as its focus the self-organising powers of planetary rings (such as those around Saturn) as researched by astrophysicists. It will also consider the self-organising powers of planetary rings, finding ways to present these dynamics visually and sonically for diverse audiences, and using this to creatively stretch people’s ideas about the nature of consciousness and intelligence.

As we develop this project I will update the information here.

Update: 24th Jan 2019

We just received news that our Arts Council bid to fund this project was successful! We are now working towards two confirmed events; the first is HKW Life Forms Conference Berlin, Germany, April 25th, details here and the second is the Full Of Noise Festival (FoN), Barrow-in-Furness, UK August 2019, details will be added here.

We have other planned events including workshops, project lectures and pending additional venues, updates will follow as these become confirmed dates.
